Trail: On Belonging by Oliver Mansell

Following the lead of Photo Fringe’s 2024 title Common Ground, this trail is a collection of works that explore the sensation of belonging through engagement with the camera.

In an increasingly networked world of images, cameras are ever more involved in informing our perceptions of connection. The artists featured in this trail question the feeling of interconnectedness through nuanced and collaborative stories of migration and community.

Oliver Mansell is a research-based photographer and picture-framer based in Cambridgeshire. His work concerns intersubjective connections through our social, physical and technological environments.
