Alison Lloyd 1957-2024

During the 1970s and 80s, Alison Lloyd’s artworks delved into the hidden interiors of bedsits and bathrooms; her photographic images appear like film stills, snapshots from a movie that was never made. Since 2010, her practice refocused on remote moorland and mountainous areas, examining how experiences and techniques from walking can be rethought as artistic process and method. Alison Lloyd was an integral part of Tate's important Women In Revolt survey show in 2023/24, currently on show at National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh.
