Peripheral Visions

Charles Holm a.k.a Homez

Peripheral Visions is a collection of analogue photographs that combines black and white reportage images from the free party rave scene in Sussex Downs, Coney Island’s iconic freak show, the Burning Man festival’s revelers and late night street dwellers of Philadelphia. These images are in stylistic contrast to my acclaimed series Eye Deal, a collection of thirty colour infrared photographs of global locations taken on the break of the millennium over a six year period starting in Brighton. The images were captured with my Olympus OM-2 and 8mm spherical fish-eye lens on four rolls of Kodak EIR Colour infrared slide film. The effect is that of a psychedelic vision of the world filled with the idealism of a global traveler. They evoke a beautiful sense of common ground, nostalgia and positivity.
